144 years ago, in 1870, there was a man named Dr.
Benjamin Franklin Goodrich. He started a
tire manufacturing company and called it BF Goodrich. Little did he know that this company was
destined to become one of the most recognizable names and popular brands in the
world. When it was founded, it was with
a pioneering spirit and a determination to constantly expand the boundaries of
performance. To this day, those
principles still apply. When you put BF
Goodrich tires on your rig, you will be able to be fully in control of whatever
driving circumstances you may find yourself in.
Even though they are an international company, BF
Goodrich is a legendary American based brand of tires. They have even been the tires used on many
historical vehicles. In 1903 the United
States was driven across for the first time by a car. This car sported BF Goodrich tires. In 1927 there was a man named Charles
Lindbergh. He took the world by storm
when he made the first non-stop flight from New York to Paris. His plane had BF Goodrich tires on it. Lindbergh was the very first man to
successfully cross the Atlantic Ocean by plane.
1977 saw the construction of the Columbia space shuttle. While the shuttle was being built, it was
equipped with BF Goodrich tires. Those
are just a few noteworthy examples.
The legacy of BF Goodrich is what has become of all of
the achievements (and yes the challenges too) that have made it possible for
the engineers at the company to make the daily grind easier for billions of
drivers across the planet. They do this
by making the driving experience one that is enjoyable and safe. In order to achieve this, thousands of BF
Goodrich employees tap into their limitless ingenuity and imagination so that
they can develop higher performance products and continue to be a leader I the
industry.
