BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires

BF Goodrich makes a few different types of tires for the mud.  In the specific Mud Terrain category there is one type that we will talk about now.

Mud Terrain T/A KM2

These tires are great on all types of terrain but they are a member of the Mud Terrain category.  They also happen to be tires that fall into the all season category.  This is the tire that any off roader wants when they want to be free from limits.  The design features a compound in the sidewall that is incredibly tough and made from three plies.  Because of this construction, the tire is extremely resistant to things like punctures, cuts and bruises while they also take the edge off of things such as rocks or other off road perils that you might come into contact with.  When you arm your Jeep with these tires, you have the freedom to drive where ever you might want to drive and have great road manner and less volume than what you might expect from a tire of this type.

Features at a Glance

·         The Mud Terrain T/A KM2 comes available in a wide variety of sizes which enables you to find them to fit your specific application

·         The sidewall compound is super tough

·         Because these can be classified as All Terrain tires, they are ready to go off road whenever you are

·         Because this tire can also be classified as an All Season tire, you will not ever have to worry about having to trade them out for winter tires when the weather turns icy

·         The aggressive tread pattern of this tire gives you the traction you need even on slick surfaces or for rock crawling – in other words, the aggressive tread pattern allows for the tires to grip obstacles better

·         The 3 ply construction of this tire gives it amazing protection from things like bruises, punctures and cuts

Krawler T/A KX

While the Krawler T/A KX is not specifically classified as a Mud Terrain tire – it is an All Terrain tire that is quite good on mud too.  Where the tire just described was an All Season tire though, this one is a summer tire that is made to race specifications.  This particular BF Goodrich tire is known for having won more championships for rock crawling than all of the other tires that are on the market today.

The Krawler tire has an incredibly tough carcass with a tread pattern featuring deep lugs.  It is made from a grippy, soft compound that allows for it to grab hold of anything it touches so that it can give you the traction you need right when and where you need it.

BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

The Goodrich tie story begins with a man by the name of Benjamin Franklin Goodrich.  Dr. Goodrich founded a company in 1870 that has become one of the most recognizable and greatest manufacturers of tires in the entire world.  Since the founding of the company, the brand has showed both the determination and the spirit that is necessary to go beyond the boundaries of performance.  With BF Goodrich tires on your rig, you will be able to take control of any driving situation that you find yourself in.

All Terrain T/A KO

These are the BF Goodrich tires that hold the claim to being the tire that started it all – in terms of all terrain tires that is.  They absolutely set the standard in terms of both off and on road performance.  These tires feature a tread that is made from a dual compound and utilizes what is known as ShoulderLock technology.  They boast shoulder grooves that are 40% wider than what you find on other tires.  This allows for an amount of traction that is increased and even more control in situations where you need to be riding aired down.  The carcass is made from 3 plies of polyester which makes the tread area stiffer than what you might think.  This thicker tread means that you get a steering response that is more precise as well as more control during cornering as well as an incredible resistance to things like bruising and puncturing.

Features at a Glance

·         All terrain tread design is high void and extremely aggressive

·         Improved tread life

·         Increased strength in the sidewalls

·         All terrain traction is maximized

·         Utilizes innovative ShoulderLock technology

·         Dual compound tread

·         40% wider shoulder grooves

·         Polyester 3 ply carcass

·         Resistant to bruising and punctures

The strategy of BF Goodrich includes the manufacture of their tires in the country where the tires will be used.  In point of fact, most of the BF Goodrich products that are marketed and sold in the US and North America in general are made in any one of the 21 plants that they own and operate in the US, Mexico and Canada.  These plants employ 23,000 employees of a company known as Michelin North America, Inc.  That said, Goodrich IS an international company and as such, there are 74 other plants that are divided between 19 different countries that span the globe.  All that aside, specialty tires and products might be made in smaller quantities in one of the foreign based plants and then shipped in to the States.

That said, no matter what your tire needs are, BF Goodrich makes a solution for you.  You can find their tires at nearly any tire store as well as on internet e-tailers.
